Return Policy


We are happy to accept returns for defective good for a refund of their full value minus return shipping. If your item is not defective but not to your liking, we will offer a store credit equal to it’s value upon return.

Local Pickup

Local pickup can be scheduled for as soon as 3 hours from ordering and is available at 920 Senaha, Yomitan.

Local Delivery

Local deliveries are staged out of Yomitan and can be scheduled for as soon as 3 hours from order if staff is available. Please communicate any delivery requirements that you may have through a the CHAT NOW box on the bottom of the screen or send a message with your order.

  • 1. Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policies

    - Deposits: All dive trips require a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot while courses will require a $100 deposit to purchase eLearning. The remaining balance is due upon arrival for a tour or before the Confined Water portion of training.

    - Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled activity will receive a full refund minus any materials (eg. eLearning) that have been purchsed on the student's behalf. Cancellations within 48 hours or "no-shows" forfeit the full amount unless proof of orders or other extenuating circumstances can be presented.

    - Weather & Conditions: Sandman Scuba reserves the right to cancel or alter any dive trip due to unsafe weather or water conditions. If we cancel, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

    2. Participation, Safety & Medical Requirements

    - Certification: All certified divers must present a valid, government-issued photo ID and current certification prior to diving (except Open Water).

    - Medical Statements: All participants must complete and pass a standard scuba medical questionnaire. Any pre-existing medical conditions may require a signed physician's release before entering the water.

    - Safety Protocols: All divers and students must adhere strictly to the instructions of our certified instructors and divemasters. Unsafe, illegal, or irresponsible behavior will result in the immediate termination of diving privileges without a refund.

    3. Equipment Rental & Returns

    - Pre-Dive Check: Renters are responsible for inspecting all equipment at the time of pickup. Any pre-existing damage must be reported before leaving the shop.

    - Responsibility: All gear must be returned clean, dry, and in the same condition it was received. Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment (beyond normal wear and tear) will be charged to the customer at replacement cost.

    - Retail Returns: Defective items in their original packaging may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase with a valid receipt. Any returns of non-defective items will be given store credit.

    4. Liability & Insurance

    - Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that scuba diving carries inherent risks that can result in serious injury or death. Participation is entirely at your own risk.

    - Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all customers obtain comprehensive dive and travel insurance. The shop is not responsible for any resultant financial loss, medical bills, or trip cancellations if you fail to secure insurance.

    5. Data Privacy & Media

    - Personal Information: We collect and securely store necessary personal data, including your certification level and medical history, to safely fulfill your booking.

    - Media Release: By participating, you consent to the use of any photos or videos taken during our activities for promotional and marketing purposes, unless otherwise stated in writing.
